In collaboration with the Warriors Research Institute (WRI), the International Association of Fire Fighters is pleased to launch our newest on-demand behavioral health training (visit the link to the flyer below):

Emotion Regulation for Emergency Responders (ER4ER)

This free online training course is designed to increase healthy coping skills in fire service members. Through four self-paced video modules, fire service members will learn how to recognize, process, and manage emotions more effectively using evidence-based techniques.

After completing the course, participants will be able to:

  • Describe how emotions are adaptive
  • Label different parts of an emotional response
  • Recognize emotional triggers
  • Explore benefits of mindful emotion awareness and options for practice
  • Define cognitive flexibility and overcome barriers to flexible thinking
