The IAFF Virtual Peer Support Training is delivered live three days over Zoom. The training is typically hosted by an IAFF Affiliate for IAFF Local or department, but sometimes the course is hosted by IAFF Headquarters as an open registration event, open to anyone. Trainings that have open registration are posted at https://www.iaff.org/peer-support/#find-a-training. In addition, on this page, you can also sign up to receive an email when these opportunities are available.

Once you have completed the IAFF Peer Support Training (in person or virtual ), a post-class survey will be emailed to the email you registered for the course, shortly after the training. To receive your Peer Support Training certificate, you need to:

  • Complete the post-course survey
  • Have attended all days of the IAFF Peer Support Training (in person or virtual)
  • Have completed the peer support training pre-requisite, the IAFF Online Behavioral Health Awareness Course, available at https://lms.iaff.org

If you have completed all steps above, your certificate will be emailed to the email you used at registration. You can access your certificate on your IAFF My Profile page by logging into the IAFF website at https://my.iaff.org. Once you are logged in, from your My Profile page, select My Certificates.
